Fire in the Blue Mountains

Almost without warning, wildfire struck in Leura and Wentworth Falls in the summer of 1957. They left the towns burnt and the community lost and confused. People were not prepared for the damage that was caused, but, their resiliency proved strong. Today, we learn from their stories in order to help better prepare us for fire protection in the communities within the bush.
